The Pittsburgh Monologue Project
by Robert Isenberg and Brad Keller
Feb. 11 & 25, Mar. 10 & 24, Apr. 14 & 28 at ModernFormations Gallery, 4919 Penn Ave.
“The Pittsburgh Monologue Project started as an idea by Robert Isenberg. The idea was simple: Create a series of monologues based on conversations with the unique cast of characters found in the city of Pittsburgh.
The stories that Isenberg and co-founder Brad Keller have heard since range from heartbreaking to outlandish, but the real secret is that all of the characters involved don’t know that their life will be dramatized. They don’t think what they’re saying is particularly interesting, funny, ironic, or tragic; it’s just their life. The Monologue Project brings their lives to you.
